Bad news: managed to break the seal on one of the tyres against the kerb, by the time I stopped it was flat and the sidewall had been damaged by the rim. Second problem – the boot lock fell apart, so needs some work before I can open it again!

Good news: after changing the wheel, got to the garage where Midgie passed the MOT.

Extra good news: they hadn’t disposed of my old tyres yet, so they were able to re-fit the best as a spare.

So we went for our first trip, not far, just a run out for a celebratory picnic and glass of champagne. Let the MG lifestyle begin!
