heater control valve
8th May, 2007 by Jonathan
On the rare occasions that I have driven her, and in the even more unlikely event that the weather has been less than perfect (I’m quite protective), I noticed that Midgie’s heater wasn’t working. Having tried flushing and feeling the hoses, I decided that the most likely culprit was the heater control valve. Some time ago I spotted a bargain on eBay, so I grabbed it, and finally go around to fitting it. And sure enough, taking off the old valve, there was no way any water was going to find its way through that crud.
No water in…
…no water out
All shiny and new
My goodness, those two bolts are fiddly. And my thanks to Ulrich over in Switzerland for this useful link about this dreaded valve.
